Masters de Feu 2026: ten years of light and a Dutch victory
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Masters de Feu celebrated its tenth anniversary at the Hippodrome de Compiègne. Around the theme"The Grand Ball", three international teams offered their own interpretation of this invitation to celebration, movement and emotion.
Despite a temporary interruption during the evening, the competition was able to resume and run to completion, before a closing show specially created for this anniversary.
An evening opened by ARTEVENTIA
From the opening of the gates, theShow & Marching Band B.L.V.and its thirty musicians accompanied the arrival of the audience in a festive atmosphere.
The pyrotechnic segment then began with an opening creation imagined byLoïc Delorieux for ARTEVENTIA, out of competition. This first show introduced the world of the “Grand Ball” before making way for the three international teams competing for the Silver Master.
Three countries, three fire signatures
Presented anonymously to the audience and jury members, the three creations were fired in the following order:
- Fire No. 1: Pirotecnia Minhota — Portugal
- Fire No. 2: XENA Pyrotechnics — Netherlands
- Fire No. 3: Firma SUREX — Poland
Bound by identical duration, budget and constraints, the three teams delivered very different interpretations of the imposed theme.
Colors, rhythms, musical choices, silences, intensity and precision allowed each company to defend its own vision of the “Grand Ball” and highlight the diversity of international pyromusical creation.
A temporary interruption to allow emergency services to intervene
During the evening, a fire was reported in a storage area of grass, straw and manure located at the rear of the hippodrome, away from the public.
The show was interrupted for around 50 minutes to allow the firefighters present as part of the safety operation to intervene under the best possible conditions. No evacuation was requested and no injuries were reported.
After the emergency services confirmed the safety conditions, the competition was able to resume before a particularly calm and patient audience.
Full details regarding this interruption are available in ourofficial statement.
XENA Pyrotechnics wins the Silver Master
At the end of the three shows, the jury chaired byÉlodie Gossuin, which also included four spectators drawn at random, delivered its verdict.
The Masters de Feu 2026 results are as follows:
- Silver Master: XENA Pyrotechnics — Netherlands
- Audience Award: XENA Pyrotechnics — Netherlands
- Special Jury Prize: Firma SUREX — Poland
By winning both the Silver Master and the Audience Award, the Dutch team XENA Pyrotechnics achieved a remarkable double and joins the companies qualified for a future Gold Master final.
The Special Jury Prize awarded to Firma SUREX also recognizes the creation presented by the Polish team.
800 drones to celebrate ten years of creation
After the results were announced, the sky above Compiègne hosted a unique closing show combiningpyrotechnics, light and more than 800 synchronized drones.
Created by the teams ofARTEVENTIAandMagic Drone, under the artistic direction ofÉdouard Grégoire, this fresco retraced ten years of creation, encounters and shared emotions at Masters de Feu.
Monumental figures, references to previous editions and tableaux blending fire and light led the audience to a final sequence celebrating the event’s tenth anniversary.
