On Saturday, September 25, 2027, Masters de Feu will open a new chapter in its history. For the first time, the competition will bring together exclusively French houses, invited to present their worlds and their way of staging the sky.

A singular edition, conceived as a spotlight on French pyrotechnic creation and on those who bring it to life.

A stage devoted entirely to French expertise

Since its creation, Masters de Feu has welcomed fireworks artists from around the world to Compiègne. Over the editions, the public has discovered highly diverse sensibilities, traditions, and pyrotechnic styles.

In 2027, the competition chooses to narrow the focus to France.

Far from breaking with the event’s international dimension, this special edition is an editorial interlude: an opportunity to reveal the diversity of a French industry recognized far beyond its borders, yet still too rarely presented through the lens of artistic creation.

For there is not just one French school of fireworks. Each house has its own relationship to music, color, rhythm, and space. Some favor precision and graphic finesse, others seek power, theatricality, or emotion. It is this diversity that Masters de Feu wishes to place at the heart of its next edition.

Three houses, three styles, one stage

Three French houses will compete in the skies above the Hippodrome de Compiègne.

Each will have fifteen minutes to present an original creation and offer its own vision of the pyromusical show. Working from the same artistic framework, they will need to build a true dramaturgy, bring music and pyrotechnics into dialogue, master the rhythm, and surprise both the audience and the jury.

The names of the participating teams will be revealed soon. The artistic direction and theme of this new edition will also be announced separately.

The public will therefore be able to discover the different faces of this 2027 edition step by step, without all its surprises being unveiled as soon as ticket sales open.

The second ticket to the great 2029 finale

The 2027 edition also marks a decisive step in the current Masters de Feu cycle.

At the end of the competition, the winning team will receive the secondSilver Masterof the 2026–2028 period. It will join the 2026 winner among the qualifiers for the great 2029 finale.

A third house will earn its place in the 2028 edition. The three winners will then meet again in Compiègne to compete for theGold Master 2029, the supreme award of this new cycle.

Each edition thus has its own identity, while also contributing to a broader story, built over four years of competition.

A competition where only creation should speak

As in previous editions, the shows will be judged on their artistic quality, synchronization, originality, structure, and ability to move the audience.

The jury must reach a unanimous decision to award the Silver Master. The public will also have a voice through the vote organized in the official Masters de Feu app.

During the competition, the identity of the pyrotechnic houses will remain deliberately in the background. Fire, music and staging must speak before names and reputations.

This rule is part of the very DNA of Masters de Feu: to offer each creation the same conditions of discovery and let the show build its own relationship with the audience.
